Possibly rosewood veneer, marquetry and mother of pearl lid decoration, key escutcheon inlay missing, no key.

Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches, some damage the veneer ie several pieces missing, key escutcheon inlay is missing and there is no key.
