Oil on canvas, remounted onto new canvas backing. Elaborate gilt gesso frame.
Depicts a tall sailing ship off the coast in stormy weather.
Size of frame: 21.5 x 17.5 inches;
Size of canvas: 16 x 12.25 inches;
Size of front painting aperture: 15.5 x 12 inches.
Weight: 2.6 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some superficial damage to frame ie some minor knocks to and pieces missing but all part of its charm and character.
