Depicts a man in red hat, holding a glass of wine.
Size of frame: 12.25 x 10.25 inches;
Size of canvas: 8.5 x 7 inches;
Size of front portrait aperture: 8 x 6 inches.
Weight: 855g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, two repairs to reverse and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame with some restoration work but all part of its charm and character.
This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.
