Antique 17th Century wooden oak hand carved panel of Abraham holding knife.
English, 17th Century, circa 1750-1800.
Possibly originally from a piece of furniture. Now has a hook to hang.
Biblical theme: Genesis 22: God tests Abraham by telling him to take his son Isaac to Mount Moriah and offer him as a sacrifice. Abraham binds Isaac and takes up the knife, but before he can harm Isaac, an angel of the Lord stops him.
Size: 19.75 x 13 inches.

Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and a few minor splits in the oak but overall fine and all part of its charm and character.
