Size of frame: 25.5 x 19.5 inches.
Size of canvas: 19.75 x 13.75 inches;
Size of front painting aperture: 19 x 13.25 inches.
Weight: 3.2 kg (allow 9 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.
This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.

That said, it’s possible that fragments of plaster may loosen in transit — this is quite normal for antique frames of this kind. By purchasing, you’re accepting this small risk when shipping by courier. Unfortunately, I’m not able to offer refunds or returns for losses of gesso that may occur in delivery.
This frame is extremely delicate and vulnerable to damage in transit, even with good packing.
On this occasion, therefore, the painting is offered for sale alone and the frame does not form part of the price.
The frame will, however, be included in the purchase for free.
