Antique river landscape oil painting with boy on bridge attributed to T Creswick RA.
English, circa 1840-60. Unsigned but has has artist's name on gold card mount - T Creswick RA (Thomas Creswick, British, 1811-1869).
Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame with oval aperture.
Size of frame: 16 x 14 inches;
Size of painting: 11.5 x 9 inches;
Size of front painting oval aperture: 9 x 7 inch diameter.
Weight: 1.6 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some restoration to frame and some tears to gold mount surround but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate.
