Depicts an elderly bearded man, namely The Very Reverend John Fiennes Twistleton Crompton, Rector of Aughrim, Co. Galway, Ireland (see label on reverse).
Provenance in the form of a family tree included which goes back to King John of Scotland.
Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame.
