Actual painting is unsigned but there is provenance on label on reverse - JC Ibbetson (British, 1759-1817). Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame (more modern). Depicts a landscape with old houses, figures and children and dog by a well in the foreground. Size of frame: 16.5 x 15 inches; Size of canvas: 14 x 12 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.5 x 11.5 inches. Weight: 1.14 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
