Oil on tin. Elaborate (distressed) gilt gesso frame.

Depicts a peasant gentleman carrying sticks with cottage in the background.

Size of frame: 19.5 x 15.5 inches;

Size of painting: 14.5 x 10.5 inches;

Size of front portrait aperture: 13.5 x 9.5 inches;

Weight: 2.2 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed).

Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.

Best described as shabby chic.
