English School, circa 1820-40.
Unsigned, artist unknown, although there is provenance on label on reverse - looks like GH Anthony but can't be absolutely certain.
Depicts an aristocratic young girl with elaborate hairstyle.
Oil on canvas . Ornate gilt gesso frame.
Size of frame: 27 x 23 inches.
Size of canvas: 21 x 17 inches.
Weight: 4.6 kg (allow 10 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.
