Very distressed gilt gesso frame.
Slightly Impressionist in style.
Size of frame: 19.5 x 16 inches.
Size of canvas: 13 x 9.5 inches.
Size of front painting aperture: 12.5 x 9 inches.
Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Frame in very tatty condition - various superficial marks and scratches, some repairs and restoration work and lots of knocks to and large pieces missing from the gesso frame hence very delicate.
This frame is extremely delicate and vulnerable to damage in transit, even with good packing.
On this occasion, therefore, the painting is offered for sale alone and the frame does not form part of the price.
The frame will, however, be included in the purchase for free.
That is to say, if you are purchasing this item, then it is on the understanding that it is the painting alone and the frame will be included as a gift (and therefore accepting any and all responsibility for damage in transit).
The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate.
