Oil on canvas, laid onto new canvas backing.
Gilt frame is more modern.

Size of portrait aperture: 24.5 x 17.25 inches;
Size of canvas: 24.75 x 17.5 inches.
Weight: 776kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, lots of craquelure, flaking to paintwork, paint loss and some minor restoration but all part of its charm and character.
As mentioned, there are areas where the antique paintwork has started to flake off from the canvas. Whilst every care will be taken with packing, I cannot guarantee that more flaking will occur in transit so please be aware of this before buying (and any such risk will be on the buyer).
