Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature.
Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame.
Size of frame: 20 x 17 inches;
Size of canvas: 16 x 13 inches;
Size of front portrait aperture: 15 x 12 inches.
Weight: 1.6 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some knocks to and a few pieces missing from gesso frame with some minor restoration but all part of its charm and character.
This antique painting has some woodworm holes but these have been treated to eradicate.
