Three antique English 19th Century pewter pint ale tankards.
Of the type used in public ale houses.
They all have assay stamps, "VR" + crown symbol and "Pint" engraved on each. VR is the assay stamp for the crown, Victoria Regina. Circa 1880.
They are very similar in size, style and design but are in fact non-matching and not an actual set.
Elegant items as well as being perfectly functional.
Height 4.5 inches; base diameter 4 inches; top diameter 3.25 inches.
Combined weight 1.45 kg (allow 2.5 kg once packed).
Reasonable condition for their age – various superficial marks & scratches, dings & dents, but all part of their character.
