Antique landscape watercolour painting of Paradise Cottage Scarborough signed and dated 1911.
English. Signed by the artist: "Art. K……/11" – tricky to decipher.
Provenance on reverse in manuscript writing (and also a label) as follows:
"Once the home of the late Mr Cecil Crawford, Paradise Cottage, Old Part of Scarborough, Castle ruins in background, handpainted by a friend".
Size of frame: 13.5 x 11.25 inches.
Size of painting aperture: 13 x 11 inches
Weight: 300g (allow 1.5 kg once packed).
Condition commensurate with age – some fading/faint splodges to card mount and various minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character.
Just for the sake of clarity, please note that this painting is not glazed (which is probably just as well as it would make posting more hazardous and costly).
