Antique architectural watercolour painting of a house in the Cotswolds by Alfred Henry Hart

Antique architectural watercolour painting of a house in the Cotswolds signed by Alfred Henry Hart, Architect.

Entitled "House for BA Bowers Esq, in the Cotswolds District".

Artist: Alfred H Hart (1866 – 1953) – signed.

Signed by the artist. This came in a batch of paintings which are all circa 1893 – 1940.

A very nicely executed painting by a very talented English artist and architect.

A bit about Alfred Henry Hart:

Watercolour painter and architect. Studied R.A. Schools (gold medal) and the A.A. (silver medal). Travelling scholarship. Add: London 1893 and 1922; Enfield, Middlesex 1910; Burton Bradstock, Dorset 1939. R.A. 23, RI 13, WG 125.

Size: 22 x 18 inches.

Weight: 2.2 kg (allow 5 kg once packed).

Reasonable condition for its age – some superficial marks & scratches and knocks to ebonised frame but all part of its charm and character.

This is a genuine antique original work of art which I have had remounted in the period frame. I do not sell reproductions or fakes.

Just for the sake of clarity, please note that this painting is not glazed (which is probably just as well as it would make posting more hazardous and costly).
