Antique French small copper saucepan with original tinned interior.
French, circa mid nineteenth century.
Copper has always been the preferred material of top chefs because of its quick and even transfer of heat.
Diameter 6.5 inches;
Depth: 3.75 inches;
Length of handle 7 inches;
Weight: 1 kg (allow 1.75 kg once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - lots of dings and dents. It has also been very blackened during the course of its life but has cleaned up, to an extent; still a bit discoloured in places and slightly battered. Priced accordingly.
Nevertheless all part of its character and ideal for a display if not to be used.
Reproduction copper saucepans of this type retail at more than £200.
